What has shaped you?
This realization has shaped me. Graphic Designers
influence millions. The power to affect change is
ingrained within the profession. In my design career
I do not want to forget that children are right now
scavenging through garbage dumps eating trash.
annual report
Challenge:
Design an annual report for an organization called
Protect the Children. They fight against the sexual
abuse of children.
Solution:
A destroyed butterfly symbolizes the horrors
of what takes place. What is more beautiful
and fragile than a butterfly? And what is more
precious than the innocence of children? My soul
was impressed upon this piece in disgust of the
abominations of this issue.
editorial cover
Challenge: Create a masthead and main cover for a computer
magazine. Solution: The firewire symbol was incorporated into the
masthead. The magazine is about speed and
connectivity between methods of transfers of
information.
corporate identity
Challenge:
Design a logo for a chain of computer centres.
Solution:
The pointer finger that has defined computers is
rendered to unify a circuit.
website design
Challenge:
Design a website for a typographic event.
Solution:
This type was photographed from our
surroundings in the real world. The elegance of
old style type in the background conveys the
theme for the event.
stamp design
Challenge:
To create a stamp, envelope and wayfinding
system for the International Year of Forests.
Solution:
Sprigs of different species of trees were used to
represent the diversity within a forest. This causes
people to look twice because it looks different
than a sapling.
