If you could be an Adobe program what would it be?

If I could be any Adobe program I would be Illustrator. Illustrator can take time to learn and use, but once you get to know all of its features it becomes your go to program for anything from typography, illustration or corporate identity. I can relate this to my diverse personality. Much like the program once you get to know me you’ll tend to rely on me for just about everything, whether it’s a design project, advice, critiques or even being the best man at your wedding.

The Fountainhead

The Fountainhead is a novel written by Ayn Rand, which focuses on collectivism and individualism. Tasked with creating a poster for a possible movie, I decided to only portray the key elements that a person going to see the movie - without having read the story - would understand. The main idea is that there is a fine line between complete creative freedom and giving up that freedom solely to the client for financial gain.

Monster High Packaging

Package design inspired by my daughters who constantly turn anything into purses. The current packaging was a generic doll box covered with more plastic than cardboard. The redesign uses no plastic, and meant to be reused as a purse to transport the doll and accessories anywhere. The coffin looking box looks like the lockers the monster high dolls have in the movies. Current logos were re-created to stick with branding; illustration and photography are all original. The doll is sitting on an actual paper construct, which the doll fits in, with art placed on top. The illustration portrays which doll character is inside the packaging for their long line of popular characters.

This editorial was to mark the 25th anniversary of the Berlin Wall's dismantling as well as reporting the history of the wall that divided Berlin. The photographic theme is to demonstrate how walls in general are cold overpowering structures that affect the emotional state of people. Scope is a magazine that covers historical topics. The demographic of this magazine is for men between the ages of 35 to 55 years of age. These men are from urban area with a household income around $75,000 to $120,000 per year.
