If you could be any Pantone Colour, which would you be and why?

If I could be any Pantone colour I would be Pantone 59-8 C because it's a bright, positive colour that borders between red and pink, giving it a feeling of flexibility like me. This colour portrays positivity, which is an attitude I strive to achieve a regular basis. Many Pantone colours could apply to this description, yet I love the girlie vibe and playfulness that this colour evokes. This colour, like me, can be serious with its red tones, but lets loose and is light hearted with its pink tones. Overall, out of all the Pantone colours Pantone 59-8 C resonated with me the most.

International Year of Light

I was given the task of designing a stamp to commemorate the International Year of Light. Focusing on optics, I designed a series of stamps with glasses and binoculars as the main visual.

The Doghouse: Corporate Identity

This project had me choose a local business, evaluate their logo thoroughly and re-brand to fit the desired target market. I chose to re-brand The Doghouse Bar & Grill in downtown Sudbury. Using figure-ground, a simplified design shows elements such as: a bulldog, doghouse, and hockey sticks. I chose earth tones as my main colors because it is a down to earth, yet rough establishment.

Titanic

To choose a favourite book and improve the design of the cover/sleeve. Using Adobe Illustrator I designed a new cover for: Titanic by Diane Hoh using a minimalistic approach with simple colours and shapes.
