METHOD: Inclusion

This project embodies inclusion by addressing the specific needs of individuals with disabilities such as lupus. Refining the packaging to be more accessible and accommodating ensures that everyone can comfortably use the product regardless of their physical abilities.

RATIONALE:

At EnviroGlam, our mission is to lead the charge in transforming the makeup industry into a force for positive environmental and social change. We are committed to revolutionizing conventional practices by offering compostable packaging solutions that minimize waste and promote inclusivity and accessibility.

Driven by our passion for design and dedication to sustainability, we strive to create packaging that not only enhances the beauty of the products it holds but also embodies our values of environmental stewardship and social responsibility.

Rare Beauty is known for its inclusive packaging, specially tailored to accommodate individuals with disabilities, including people with lupus. In the scope of my project, my primary objective revolved around the refinement of its existing external packaging, which currently comprises a nondescript box that necessitates the utilization of one’s fingertips for opening. This practice may seem trivial to many, but it can cause discomfort to those who have lupus, an autoimmune illness. The overarching aim of my project was to streamline and enhance the user experience when interacting with the product.
