Facilities
The majority of the course is split between the use of a high-tech boardroom-style classroom and a Mac Lab. The boardroom hosts lectures, guest speakers, presentations and discussions; the Mac Lab comes equipped with the newest software and hardware available in the industry.
Currently, students make use of 24" iMac computers, 2 industrial grade large format printers (colour & black), 2 scanners and loads of the newest sotfware, including:
- Photoshop
- Illustrator
- In-Design
- Dreamweaver
- Flash
- Fireworks
- Lightroom
- Acrobat Pro
- Fontographer
In addition to these facilities, Graphic Design Students have access to a professional photo studio, silkscreen & relief/eching presses, multiple open access Mac Labs, dedicated drawing spaces, light tables, spray rooms, art lockers, and many others college facilities.

Curriculum
Cambrian offers a 6 semester program—allowing students to practice their craft for 3 years before entering the industry. Skills and knowledge based training focuses on the fundamental areas of Graphic Design, including:
- Typography

- Illustration

- Layout
- Copywriting
- Corporate Identity
- Web Design & Development
- Package Design
- Sustainable Design
- & the Fine Arts
Students from the program have used their skills and knowledge to work with design studios, advertising agencies, web and new media developers, architectural firms, educational institutions, government agencies and more.
