Professional Associations

Having associations with professional groups is important to maintaining relevant knowledge. Students enrolled in the Graphic Design Program are Student Members of the Association of Registered Graphic Designers of Ontario; Most of the the Faculty are R.G.D. (Professional Members).

To become a Professional Member of the RGD, faculty had to demonstrate a significant commitment to the education (3–4 years) and practice (3–4 years) of Graphic Design. They then wrote an exam and passed a portfolio interview.

Creating a vibrant Graphic Design community in Sudbury was the goal of the SDS (Sudbury Design Society) — founded and run by many of the faculty at Cambrian.

ccgraphicdesign.ca was founded in 2008 to support the growing community of Graphic Designers at Cambrian College and in Sudbury, Ontario, Canada.

We are constantly thinking of new initiatives that will help bring this community together to promote healthy and balanced living, and professional support.
